Finding new and fun activities that can be used with a variety of goals is always something that I’ve found difficult. When my amazing CDA, Sheree, came up with this game I was over the moon!! It combines the ease of a folder game with a fun song, Sticky Sticky Bubble Gum. Listen here for a great example of a teacher singing this song and using lots of language learning (View video)

This fun activity can be used with any child who loves to sing, which is almost every child!! Target goals like preposition “on”, body parts, boy vs. girl, pronouns, expanding utterances, vocabulary, turn taking, pretend play, and increasing interaction and joint attention skills, and whatever else you can think of.
How to….
Sing the song
Stick the bubble gum to a body part
Sing again
HAVE FUN!!

LYRICS

Sticking your hands to your shoes……..UN-STICK!
(knees to elbow, toe to nose, hand to someone else’s hand, back to someone else’s back, head to the floor…and make up your own verses!)
